Pirates Red Chip Video Capture CloseupIRVING, TX–February 13, 2023– Now available from Andamiro is a software patch that adds new animation to its SpongeBob Pirates of Bikini Bottom game. In version 0.42, after an earned chip is inserted at the game, an enlarged replica of that chip with its corresponding ticket value pops up on the game’s video display.

“While our new SpongeBob game has enjoyed widespread popularity and strong earnings since its introduction seven months ago, operators have been asking us for ways to encourage their customers to use the onboard chip reader more often,” said Andamiro USA president Drew Maniscalco. “The new video animation will grab the player’s attention and prompt them to redeem their chips at the machine.”

Introduced in August 2022, Pirates of Bikini Bottom combines character cards, plastic chips, video gameplay and ball pusher mechanics to create a feature-rich arcade mashup with lots of ways to win tickets. Pirates is Andamiro’s first pusher game to play with chips. The red, green and blue chips carry an RFID tag that can be read by the machine. The chips can also be redeemed at item kiosks (Andamiro or Elaut) using color sensors.

To be sure, every Pirates game features decals, on each player side, with instructions on how to play and where to insert chips. The new video software simply highlights and augments the onboard chip redemption feature.
