Andamiro USA Ships Monster Catcher, A New Skill-Based Ticket Redemption Video Game
GARDENA, CA–March 20, 2019– Andamiro USA Corp. is pleased to announce that it is now shipping Monster Catcher, the company’s latest ticket redemption game and its second video redemption title developed exclusively for family entertainment centers and arcades.
Monster Catcher starts with a saucer-shaped spaceship unloading the game’s alien creatures. There are seven distinct, strange-looking monsters and each represents the same number of difficulty levels in gameplay. With every increasingly challenging catch attempt, the player can win more tickets. If the player squeezes successful catches at all seven levels, they win the super bonus.
The videogame’s objective and interface are simple. When a monster drops, the player presses a button to try to catch it between two round paddles. Success is all about timing. At each sequential monster level, the drop height increases, the space between the paddles widens and the paddle sizes get smaller — calling for greater hand-eye coordination as the game advances.
“While I wasn’t surprised, it was certainly reassuring to have operators and distributors agree that Monster Catcher was one of the best values making a debut at the IAAPA Attractions Expo,” said Andamiro USA senior sales director Tony Maniscalco, “Our first Monster Catcher containers this year quickly sold out, and we expect demand to remain strong throughout the year.”
Monster Catcher is Andamiro’s second redemption videogame title. The first was Tight Rope, introduced in late 2017, which Andamiro continues to sell in the U.S. and internationally. Both games were developed by Andamiro for exclusive operation in the arcade channel. Like its predecessor, Monster Catcher possesses a slender footprint and a good amount of height. It measures 35” wide by 34” deep by 100” high and is equipped with a 55″ high-def LCD.
