Dragons: Andamiro Ships High-Impact Two-Player Arcade Attraction Inspired by DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon
GOYANG-SI, South Korea, and IRVING, Texas—September 2026— Andamiro this month is pleased to announce the industrywide availability of Dragons, a two-player arcade game inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon franchise. The new attraction combines ball-launching gameplay with a 13-card collectible character set in a large-format cabinet designed for high-traffic entertainment venues.
Dragons blends a vertical, peg-filled playfield with a horizontal pusher table in what Andamiro playfully calls a “pushinko” format. Players press a button to release the larger red game balls onto a staging ledge, then pull the joystick to retract the ledge and drop the ball onto a pitched peg field packed with target holes that trigger bonus events and open additional scoring opportunities. The upper playfield operates independently, while awarded bonuses feed additional blue pusher balls onto the lower deck.
On the pusher table below, half-inch blue balls accumulate and steadily drive collectible character cards toward the payout edge. Each player station is equipped with dual card dispensers, and the bonus events are designed to maintain a consistent flow of pusher balls to keep cards moving and gameplay active.
DRAGON CHANCE
The main upper-field target activates the center-mounted Dragon Chance feature. When Dragon Chance is triggered, a spinning bonus drum springs to life, mixing red- and blue-striped prize balls before releasing one onto a visible track for dramatic reveal. Red balls award a free game ball for another upper-field drop, while blue balls flood the lower deck with additional pusher balls based on the number drawn, accelerating the push of cards toward the edge.
Additionally, each blue win lights up the reader display, building momentum toward a special ticket bonus when nine numbered balls (30-50-70-100-120-150-170-200-250) are collected. The mechanical reveal creates a high-energy, crowd-drawing moment that keeps players engaged and watching every roll.
Dragons plays with a 13-card collectible set tied to the film’s characters, offering a Super Bonus ticket award for completing the series. It is Andamiro’s first pusher-style game to combine both a joystick and button interface, offering intuitive control while preserving straightforward, easy-to-learn rules. Each player side is topped with an LCD display that runs synchronized video throughout gameplay, and the cabinet features large-scale, theatrical graphics inspired by How to Train Your Dragon.
Dragons is one of Andamiro’s most commanding two-player cabinets to date, measuring 81” W. x 58” D. x 98” H. (2043 x 1466 x 2456 mm) and weighing 1,345 lbs. (610 kg); the unit’s shipping weight is 1,610 lbs.(730kg). Dragons is engineered to accommodate both the pitched peg playfield and full-width ball deck while maintaining a standard two-player arcade footprint.
“What makes Dragons special for arcades is that when you first approach it, the game’s beauty and intricacy make it look complex — but it’s actually very simple to play,” said Nick Montano, marketing director of Andamiro USA. “Everyone knows how to use a button and joystick, and the rules and features are easy to learn after the first couple of ball drops. We believe that balance of visual depth and intuitive play will drive repeat engagement.”
Dragons is the newest title in Andamiro’s expanding partnership with Universal, building on the iconic game company’s track record of integrating globally recognized brands into arcade and out-of-home entertainment spaces.
The How to Train Your Dragon franchise debuted in 2010 and has grown into a multibillion-dollar global property spanning three feature films, television series, consumer products and theme park attractions. The films have generated more than $1.6 billion in worldwide box office revenue and remain a strong family brand with broad, cross-generational appeal.
