LONDON, January 16, 2020—The 2020 Entertainment, Attractions & Gaming (EAG) International Expo began the new decade with a diverse program at the Exhibit Center London (ExCel) here. The amusement trade show’s organizer, Swan Events Ltd., said the event was characterized by optimism among exhibitors and visitors alike, and that the redemption amusement segment continues to grow.

This year, a selection of Andamiro games was on display at the Bandai Namco stand. They included Andamiro’s new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Basketball Pro and Ticket Man, along with NFLPA Red Zone Rush, which is made by Andamiro and marketed exclusively by Bandai Namco. The Andamiro lineup contributed to the wide array of imaginative new games making a debut at the show.

EAG’s management team concluded its post-show report by noting that “a striking feature of this year’s event was the sheer volume of new product, for which manufacturers and distributors should be congratulated. They were rewarded with buyers from every aspect of out-of-home entertainment, and they clearly had the appetite to invest.”

EAG International chairman Martin Burlin summed up the event’s performance. “EAG 2020 had a great feel about it,” he said. “A number of exhibitors with whom I spoke confirmed that they were very pleased with the quality of the visitors, who were placing orders. I also received a number of positive comments on the new branding.” The event, strategically scheduled at the start of a new year, is regarded by many as an indicator of industry confidence, he added; “if they’re correct, it looks as though we might be in for a very good year.”

EAG is sponsored by the British Amusement Catering Trade Association. Next year’s EAG International will take place at ExCeL London from Jan. 12 to 14. Visit eagexpo.com for more information.
