MARCH 20, 2020, Gardena, CA– Effective immediately, Andamiro USA Corp. will temporarily shut down its main office and warehouse in Gardena, CA, located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. Andamiro has enacted the necessary communications protocols that will allow us to continue to support our nationwide customer base.

Andamiro’s decision follows Gov. Gavin Newsom’s “stay-at-home” directive to California’s 40 million residents, which was issued on March 19. The order directs residents to stay home indefinitely as California grapples with a growing novel coronavirus epidemic. As a result, all nonessential businesses have been asked to close.

The governor’s order, announced Thursday evening, calls on people to remain in their homes, with exceptions only for essential travel. The move follows San Francisco’s “shelter-in-place” order issued earlier this week for the Bay Area. The statewide edict will impact Andamiro’s shipping and service capabilities for the immediate future.

Andamiro’s accounting and administration departments have already transitioned from the main office to home offices. The parts, service and sales departments will now be available by email and phone (see contact information below).

“Despite implementing known health precautions, continued operations at our southern California facility must be suspended until further notice,” said Andamiro USA president Drew Maniscalco. “The safety of our employees, their families and our suppliers are paramount during this crisis.

“We also have some good news,” Maniscalco added. “In our parent country of South Korea, where the outbreak is under control and diminishing, Andamiro’s manufacturing and design divisions are operating at full capacity.”
